Extracorporeal shockwave therapy

Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is a treatment method based on the application of powerful sound waves generated outside the body to the affected area using a special applicator. This therapy is commonly used to treat various orthopedic issues such as elbow, ankle, and shoulder pain, as well as pseudoarthrosis.

The procedure is conducted using a specialized device that generates low-frequency sound waves (acoustic waves). These acoustic waves penetrate the tissues and reach the bone.

During the procedure, patients commonly report the following effects:

  • Increased blood flow at the contact area of the device;
  • Reduction in acute and chronic pain;
  • Decrease in local inflammation and swelling;
  • Improved overall mood and well-being.
